From a hobby to something considerably more serious is how Ray describes his photography. A freelance photographer, specialising in editorial sports coverage in close collaboration with TGS Photo Agency, holding membership of the Sports Journalist Association (SJA) , Association Internationale de la press Sportif (AIPS), and the Federation Internationale de Motorcyclisme.
From grass roots football, cricket and motocross, to the elite of the Premiership, Championship and International sport, every assignment or commission is treated with identical passion. Widely published in the regional, national and international press, personal highlights include the first six rounds of the World Rallycross Championship 2017, the ICC World Cricket Cup Tournament, 2019, the Inaugural World Test Championship Final 2021, and the 2022 GT Championship season. Currently extremely proud to be the appointed Match Day Photographer for Middlesex County Cricket Club.
The photographic interest is not confined to editorial sporting assignments, and galleries on the website aim to showcase other aspects of photographic interest. Images from these galleries are available to purchase in the form of digital downloads, prints, or for wider editorial and commercial use.
All prints are produced ‘on order’ using high quality Olmec 260gsm photo satin heavyweight papers, using Canon Lucia Inks which are designed to offer print longevity, and light fastness behind glass for 80 years on display (as quoted by Canon). Sizes and availability visible through the shopping cart. As each print is individually produced, orders are normally despatched within 72-96 hours from receipt.
