This Presentation is ideal for Camera or Photographic Societies. The story evolves from a passionate hobby to something a little more serious, co - operating with an agency covering sporting events for publication in the regional, national and on occasion international press, and on the journey indicating the differences between editorial submission and why many of the images would prove to be camera club judge bait.

In two halves (as any good sporting event) the material demonstrates the planning which takes place, the speed required pitch side, and features a piece originally presented by then Image editor of the Essex Chronicle indicating what he would look for from the gallery submitted.

This presentation is ideal for Camera club or photographic societies, and moves on from the initial Pitchside to paper material. With a re cap of the basics (so it stands alone without the need to see the 1st presentation), the talk covers the preparation involved for coverage of specific event(s), covering not just the photography but also a brief insiders view in terms of the event itself.

Whilst sports fanatics will hopefully find this interesting, the presentation tries to offer something for everyone with many of the principals of other photographic genres applying to the processes undertaken here.

This presentation was developed following talks by a number of speakers to Chelmsford Camera Club, the members themselves and an article read. It's name is taken from a well know confectionary brand. All the sources mentioned inspired me to go and photograph subjects outside of my comfort zone, and details the hiccoughs, the process together with information relating to post production to reach a desired result.
