 Following visits to Kapama and Timbavati and blown away with the awesome, natural beauty of the wildlife and habitat, organised a specific visit to Kenya and the Masai Mara. The aim was not only to capture natural looking shots in the environment, but also a sequence of more arty, stripped back, high key monochrome images where the amazing wildlife takes centre stage. The capturing of natural abstract or patterns, to the use of post production to create a piece from an obscure starting point. Descriptions are included with each of the images within this gallery. |

 This portfolio of landscape images tries to capture a moment in time. I have had the good fortune to visit the majority of these places as part of a vacation or organised trip of some description, and have photographed what is in front of the lens, irrespective of weather, or the potential for better light in the morning or evening. The idea of capturing a moment as opposed to waiting for the right moment could be an appropriate description. | (Contains 20 photos)

This small but growing collection is simply a place for some personal favourite wildlife photographs, most of which have been taken whilst out and about, either at private hides, public hides or just 'out', and not necessarily forming part of a specific exercise or project aim. |
